Sanitizing & deodorizingWhole-system duct and dryer vent check with before-and-after photos - you see exactly what came out of your vents
That "$99 whole-house special" is a bait ad - the real number appears once they are in your hallway, or the "clean" is a shop-vac at the register. We photograph the inside of your ducts before and after instead.
Air Duct Cleaning Before & After in Brooklyn, NY
Before-and-after photos matter more than any promise we could print. Brooklyn homes collect a particular kind of dust: plaster from prewar walls, fine grit from subway grates, pet hair from brownstone hallways. We photograph every job because you deserve to see what came out, what stayed behind, and why the floors look the same when we leave.

Prewar Brownstone Return Registers, Park Slope
This four-story brownstone still had its original 1920s return ducts, and the registers were coated in what was probably decades of coal dust long since pulverized into a fine black film. Our crew ran a Nikro negative air machine at the furnace end while brushing each return from the register side, catching the plume before it ever entered the living space. The homeowner’s concern was their toddler crawling near the floor-level registers, so we used HEPA-filtered containment beside the drop cloths and worked around nap time. After the clean, a Guardsman air wash knocked down the stale smell that had lingered in the parlor for years. The after photo shows a register you could eat off of, and the surrounding oak floor had zero boot scuffs because the crew changed into clean covers at the door.
Kitchen Exhaust Duct Packed with Grease and Lint, Bushwick
This Bushwick rental kitchen had a recirculating hood the tenants assumed was filtering, but the duct behind it had never been opened, and years of fried plantains and bacon had left a greasy lining that had begun to sag. We capped the vent at the exterior, brushed the interior with a Nikro rotary whip paired with a mild degreaser safe for the building’s old galvanized pipe, and caught every drop in a containment bag under the register. The smell in the kitchen changed within the hour, and the landlord had the after photo for the lease renewal walkthrough. The floors were protected from the front door to the kitchen because the grease tends to travel, and our crew laid a canvas runner rather than risk transferring anything onto the hallway tile.
Central Air Ducts with Construction Dust in a New Condo, Williamsburg
Fresh construction is clean on the surface and filthy inside the mechanicals. This Williamsburg unit on Kent Avenue had been renovated before the sale, and the ducts had swallowed enough drywall dust to turn every supply register into a tiny chalk cannon whenever the HVAC cycled on. We sealed each register, ran a Rotobrush system through the supply and return sides with a HEPA vacuum pulling negative pressure the entire time, and then checked the coil cabinet with a camera to confirm nothing had been bypassed. The new owners had a baby on the way and asked specifically about the dust particle size, so we showed them the pre-filter catch before bagging it. After the job, a photo of the clean plenum sat on the kitchen counter next to the keys, since the floors had been protected from the first step inside.
Dryer Vent with Bird Nesting Material, Sheepshead Bay
This Sheepshead Bay home’s dryer had been taking two cycles to dry towels, and the exterior hood was blocked enough that a small bird had decided to move in. We removed the hood, pulled the nesting material out by hand rather than forcing it through the pipe, then ran a brush down the full length to clear the lint that had built up behind the blockage. A new louvered hood with a proper bird guard went on the exterior, and we tested the airflow with the dryer running to confirm the difference before the crew packed up. The homeowner’s dog watched the whole job from behind a baby gate, which is exactly where he stayed thanks to the drop cloths and the fact that we use quieter tools when animals are in the house. The after photo shows the new hood from the outside and the clean pipe from the inside, with not a single feather left behind.
Dust-Coated Supply Registers in a Duplex, Bedford-Stuyvesant
The owner of this Bed-Stuy duplex had never had the ducts cleaned since moving in eleven years prior, and the upstairs supply registers were wearing a gray beard of dust and what looked like old candle soot. We removed each register, scrubbed them with a degreasing solution, and then cleaned the supply runs themselves with an Abatement Technologies negative air setup to keep the dust from falling through to the living room below. The bedroom with the crib was done first, before the baby’s afternoon nap, and the crew kept the air moving through the HEPA unit rather than kicking anything back into the room. The after photo shows the register reattached and the window ledge wiped down, because the job isn’t done until the area around the work looks the same as everywhere else.
Pet Hair and Dander in a Finished Basement System, Marine Park
Two golden retrievers and a finished basement with its own HVAC zone meant this Marine Park system was moving hair through the house every time the air kicked on. The basement supply duct had a visible mat of hair along the inside walls, and the register filter was more fur than filter. We ran a full clean through the basement supply and return, used an Aprilaire filter upgrade the homeowner requested, and treated the duct interior with a pet-safe antimicrobial choice that was explicitly discussed before we applied anything. The after photo of the access panel, still open, shows the clean metal and the HEPA vacuum still attached, which is exactly the kind of proof we want people to see. The dogs were curious but stayed safely out of the work area, and the clean-up photo at the end shows no hair, no boot marks, and no trace anyone had been there at all.
